IP addresses can be used to trace the location of scammers who post messages or send emails to their victims.
There are many ways to get someone’s IP address.
For example, some web browsers keep track of IP addresses when you visit a website, and a hacker may be able to intercept this data. In addition, many services (such as your ISP) maintain logs of the IP addresses 먹튀사이트 신고 that they send and receive on their network.
As mentioned in the previous section, IP addresses can be traced through DNS lookups. A DNS lookup is how computers find out where to send data to another computer. DNS lookups also tell us which website a user has visited, so we can track an individual’s online activity.
